(M)ost metals form an oxide layer when exposed to oxygen. Some are bad, but some "passivate" the surface, protecting it from corrosion (e.g., aluminum)
I really wish that climate change, vaccines, mask wearing, etc. hadn't become politicized. Our near- and long-term future would be a lot more hopeful (M)
